Get to know the Hipster Cats

Classic hipster. You are the strong and silent type, except when you truly need to make yourself heard. You would commute work on a penny farthing if you didn’t already work from home on your Kickstarter. You’re not picky when it comes to food but you know what you like. You are all about being healthy and well hydrated. You are most likely to live in a big city and travel when you can, as long as you can be in the action. “Let’s make a box fort and boop noses?”

Arthur is friendly and quiet. He loves sweets, kisses, and playing complicated games by himself. He is very nosy, likes to join meetings, and spy on the neighbours. He can often be found in a box fort or his cat house keeping an eye on things.

Vintage hipster. You iron your button ups and have an amazing collection of vintage bow ties. You read the labels and always buy organic, and you can taste the difference. Your purrfect day involves curling up in your favourite chair and rereading anything by David Foster Wallace or listening to your well curated vinyl collection. You are not the biggest fan of the outdoors but you enjoy watching snow and rain while contemplating your existence. “Also tummy rubs?”

Algernon, better known as Algie, is a complicated guy. He is very particular about his food and hates to be alone. He will tell you all his thoughts and likes to play football and catch. He is extremely dramatic when it comes to weather, attention, and what is on tv.

Grunge hipster. It’s ok if you wear that flannel more than one day in a row, it’s a layering piece. You appreciate a good local brewpub, and always seem to know the owner. You’re not picky with food and drink, although you purrfer craft and artisanal producers. You’re a city cat at heart but you’re ok with embracing the perks of the burbs, such as checking out all the local festivals and markets with friends. You can make anything a party if you try hard enough. “Hold my paw while we watch tv.”

Santino, aka Tino, is a family cat through and through. He loves children and playing all day. He is very into watching tv, especially if it means getting to relax with his people. He is an expert at breaking into anything food related and can be a sneaky food thief when the mood strikes him.

You’re not really a hipster but you are extra and that’s how you like it. you appreciate the finer things in life and you don’t mind if people know it. From food to vacations, you expect nothing but the best. You might only be friends with those you deem suitable but for those who make the cut you are loyal and loving. You may not be hipster but at least you aren’t mainstream. Keep being your fabulous self. “Tell me how gorgeous I am.”

Coco is extra and she knows it. She loves her water fresh from the tap even if it means having to go out of her way. She is a bit of flirt and loves being the centre of attention. If she isn’t pleased with you, she will let you know with a hilarious slap from her powder puff paws.
